Who are we?
The Hwb Collective CIC helps young people with practical STEM and employability. We run the free CV Builder and are responsible for looking after the personal information described here.
What happens when you visit the website?
IONOS creates anonymous totals showing that pages were visited. It does not use analytics cookies and The Hwb Collective does not use the statistics to work out who you are, advertise to you or make decisions about you.
What do you give us?
To build your CV, you may enter your name, contact details, education, experience, skills, interests and goals. You choose what to include, but a useful CV normally needs enough accurate information for an employer or learning provider to understand you.
What should you leave out?
Do not enter passwords, bank details, medical records, safeguarding disclosures or information about somebody else that is not needed for your CV. If you are unsure, stop and ask a trusted adult or contact us.
Why do we use it?
We use the information to create and deliver the CV you ask for, let you return to or delete your work where that feature is available, keep the service secure and respond if you ask for help. A service email is for providing the CV; it is not permission to send marketing.
Who helps us run the service?
The service uses Google Apps Script and organisation-controlled Google Workspace services. The final detailed supplier and data-flow records are still being checked before wider school or council delivery.
How long is it kept?
If a CV record is not used, it is archived after 12 months and permanently deleted after 24 months. You can use the secure deletion route or ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what information we hold, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Use the data request page or email privacy@thehwbco.com.
Need help now?
This website is not an emergency or safeguarding-reporting service. If somebody is in immediate danger, call 999. For a safeguarding concern about our work, use safeguarding@thehwbco.com.
This is an interim child-friendly summary. It follows the ICO principle that privacy information for children should be concise, prominent and clear, and it will be updated if verification of the live CV Builder data flow identifies any difference.
