Summary
The website uses a small amount of browser storage to remember choices you make, such as language, colour theme and text size. It also uses IONOS SiteAnalytics to understand overall website traffic. SiteAnalytics does not use analytics cookies and is not used to identify, profile or target individual visitors.

Anonymous website statistics
Website traffic is measured through IONOS SiteAnalytics, which is part of the hosting service. According to IONOS, SiteAnalytics uses a pixel or hosting log file, does not use cookies, anonymises the visitor IP address directly after transmission and does not store information that can be used to identify individual visitors.
IONOS states that SiteAnalytics may process the requested page or file, referrer, browser type and version, operating system, device type, time of access and an anonymised IP address used to determine approximate location. The statistics are used only for statistical evaluation and technical optimisation of the website.
We review aggregate questions such as whether the site was used, which pages were viewed and whether visitors reached the career tools. We do not use the information to identify people, monitor a named person, create categories of visitors, personalise content, advertise or make decisions about anyone.
What an aggregate count means
A page impression means that a page was requested. It is not proof of one unique person. Repeat visits, automated services and the same person using more than one device may increase totals. Website statistics must not be treated as confirmed programme participants or grant beneficiaries without separate evidence and funder agreement.
Hosting and security records
IONOS may create technical hosting logs to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website. These records are separate from browser cookies. The Hwb Collective does not use raw hosting logs for advertising or behavioural profiling. Where a security incident needs investigation, relevant technical records may be reviewed only for security, fault diagnosis or legal compliance.
How the statistics objection works
The website provides a one-click objection for any optional analytics controlled by The Hwb Collective. At present the public pages do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers or session recording. IONOS may still create essential hosting and security records, which cannot be prevented by a switch in a static webpage.
Your choices
Use Privacy settings on any page to object to optional site statistics, or clear the saved preference through your browser. For questions about IONOS hosting-level records or the use of aggregate reports, contact privacy@thehwbco.com.
Advertising, social media and external content
No advertising cookies, behavioural advertising tools, session-recording services or social-media tracking plugins are installed. Instagram and other external services are linked rather than embedded. When you choose to follow an external link, the destination service processes the visit under its own privacy information.
Retention and internal reporting
The Hwb Collective does not export or retain visitor-level SiteAnalytics records. If aggregate reports are exported for website improvement, governance or funding evidence, they are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or reduced to annual totals. IONOS controls the operational retention of its hosting and SiteAnalytics systems under the relevant service terms.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be reviewed whenever a new analytics service, embedded media provider, advertising technology or storage purpose is proposed. Any technology requiring consent must remain disabled until a valid choice mechanism and accurate notice are in place.
