The funding panel approved Design for Futures: Community Skills and Employability Programme. The award will support a defined project connecting practical activity with the employability skills young people can recognise and explain.
The project focus sits within The Hwb Collective’s wider public employability route. That includes helping young people identify possible roles, build a CV, prepare for interviews and understand how practical project work can become real evidence of communication, planning, teamwork and problem-solving.
What happens next
The directors will approve the delivery plan, budget and responsibilities before expenditure and delivery are committed. Receipts will be retained because the funding is restricted and must only be used for the named project by the end of November 2026.
Planned expenditure includes practical resources, public-facing materials and the direct costs needed to run the programme responsibly. Activity will be monitored against the agreed budget so that the announcement is matched by proportionate evidence of delivery.
Monitoring will distinguish what was planned, what was delivered, what participants produced, what feedback was received and what longer-term outcomes can genuinely be evidenced.
Photography and consent
The funder may promote the project locally or nationally. Suitable project photographs will only be taken or shared where the appropriate participant or parent/guardian consent has been obtained. Participation will not depend on agreeing to publicity photography.
A responsible announcement
