Current position
What the award means
The award is restricted to the named project. Funding was received on 2 July 2026 and must be used for the project by the end of November 2026. Receipts and decision records will be retained, and monitoring information will distinguish activity, outputs, feedback and longer-term outcomes.
The award is a responsibility to deliver and report. It is not presented as evidence that proposed activity has already happened.
Programme purpose
Design for Futures connects practical design and STEM activity with employability reflection. The immediate-use offer includes four career apps, the WJEC Design and Technology revision suite and supporting guidance. These resources help young people explore, prepare, practise and recognise the communication, planning, problem-solving and resilience within their experience.
Where an in-person opportunity is later confirmed, practical activity can extend that journey through investigating, creating, testing and explaining.
Planning before any in-person delivery
- Confirm participant group, setting and intended outcomes.
- Agree venue, supervision, safeguarding and risk responsibilities.
- Confirm accessibility and reasonable adjustments.
- Use proportionate data collection with clear privacy information.
- Separate participation from optional photography and publicity consent.
- Agree how feedback, outputs and expenditure will be recorded.
Photography and publicity
The funder has invited a quote and suitable photographs. Images containing participants will only be captured or shared when the appropriate participant or parent/guardian permission has been obtained. Declining publicity photography must not prevent someone from participating in the programme.
How progress will be reported
Updates may include expenditure categories, activities delivered, resource outputs, anonymised feedback, consented photographs and lessons for future delivery. Small numbers will be handled carefully so that individuals are not identifiable.
The website does not state that every Hwb Collective product is funded by this award. Any allocation to digital development, staff time, venues, materials or external suppliers must match the approved purpose, grant conditions and board-approved budget.
